[Day 6 (Olympia/Patras/Gulf of Corinth/Nafpaktos)] [Day 7 (Delphi)]
On our second day we slept in and did just a little sightseeing in the Plaka neighborhood. Following are the Kapnikarea Church, which is right in middle of cross streets, and The Temple of the Winds (with the Parthenon peaking out from behind). The Temple of the Winds is in the Roman Agora and has carvings representing the eight winds.
On Saturday we took a day cruise to the islands of Poros, Hydra, and Aegina.
On Poros, Helen, Bonnie, and I climbed the steps to the clock tower. Before heading up, I took a picture of an interesting door. Halfway up, I took one of a very pretty gate. The fourth picture is the view of Poros from the clock tower. The bottom two pictures are of boats in the Poros harbor.
On Hydra we were greeted by donkeys and did a little shopping.
On Aegina we took a side tour to the Temple of Athena Aphaia (circa 570 B.C.). It was really beautiful, and I got a little snap-happy.
The Aegina tour ended with a stop at St. Nectarious.
