News (updated 1/31/08)

Check out the video of Karl being interviewed at the Cloverfield premiere. I have screencaps that I'll be adding soon.

Drenchedinpain.com has a ton of fantastic Karl pictures, including some from his appearance at the Cloverfield premiere.

TV Guide has a new Karl interview, Karl Urban: From Comanche Moon's Old West to Star Trek's Exciting Future by Matt Webb Mitovich.

NEW!! CBS has clips from Comanch Moon online. They'll be available for viewing only until the actual show airs, so enjoy now!

Check out the The Deadbolt.com interview, Karl Urban Talks Comanche Moon Mini-series and Star Trek by Troy Rogers.

Look for Comanche Moon on CBS on 13, 15, and 16 January 2008.

Stuff.co.nz has a new report regarding Karl being in the new Star Trek movie. The article does say that it is not for certain, as there may be scheduling conflicts, since Karl is currently filming Black Water Transit. It also says he may be cast as Bones (aka Dr. McCoy), which coincides with trekmovie.com and IGN, who claimed he was not up for the villian role. There had been rumors he might be up for the villain, but since then, Eric Bana has been given the role of Nero, the movie's main villain. Regardless, it'll be great to see him in any role!

ComingSoon.net and Yahoo Movies have articles on how Karl is going to be in Black Water Transit (replacing Bruce Willis), which is an adaptation of a novel by Carsten Stroud. Karl will play Earl Pike, a crook trying to get an illegal gun collection to safety.

According to The New Zealand Herald and NZCity, Karl is appearing in a movie called Out of the Blue. It's distributed by First Take, an IFC company. Karl plays Nick Harvey. This controversial movie depicts a day in 1990 in Aramoana where a man, David Gray, killed 13 of his neighbors. It aired at the Toronto film festival on 11 September 2006. It premiered in New Zealand on 12 October 2006. It will supposedly be out in limited release on 22 August 2007. The film was directed by Robert Sarkies. It was filmed in Dunedin, New Zealand.

Karl attended the 21-23 April 2006 Starfest convention in Denver. The site has pictures.

According to Film Force, Karl is no longer starring in Outlander.

Film Force has an article from the set Pathfinder.

According to Karl's management, Karl and Keith Urban are NOT related! You can all stop wondering (and asking me) now.

I have some screencaps from the Pathfinder trailer.

It looks like Karl is attached to the new Tom Clancy (from the video game and novels) movie, Splinter Cell. I'll put up any more info as I find it.

Check out the Pathfinder site. It also has a very nice trailer.

The Coming Soon site has an article about a Pathfinder set visit. There are a couple interesting things about Karl.

The Pathfinder trailer is now posted at Yahoo! Movies.

Karl's joined the cast to a CBS miniseries called Comanche Moon. It's a prequel to Lonesome Dove. He plays a Texas Ranger named Woodrow Call. Call was originally played by Tommy Lee Jones. Read about it at Yahoo! News.

I found an amusing San Francisco Bay Guardian "Doom" review. It's not a positive review, but I enjoyed the positive thing that was pointed out: "The best thing about Doom is that it's rated R, which means there's cussin' and bloodlettin' aplenty. Also, Karl Urban (The Lord of the Rings' Eomer) is dreamy." Can't argue with that!

Ange from New Zealand was kind enough to share a couple pictures with me from the King Kong premiere. They're very nice. Enjoy.

Check out the article Spotlighting Karl Urban at Search My Trash. It's a very nice article.

It seems that Karl has already signed on to do a sequel to Doom should the first one do well. Eurogamer.net has an article on it.
