Humpty Dumpty

Patrick's picture from the program.

In March and April 2002, Patrick worked on the Eric Bogosian play Humpty Dumpty at the McCarter Theater in Princeton, New Jersey. It was the first run for this play and I had the opportunity to see it. It was a thought-provoking production, and I'm glad to have seen it.

Patrick played a self-absorbed screenwriter named Troy, who -- along with his other self-absorbed Hollywood-type friends -- has his world turned upside down. While on vacation in the New York countryside, an unknown crisis takes out the power -- for weeks. Humpty Dumpty explores how people would react should the things we all take for granted -- phones, electricity, an abundance of easily accessibly food -- be taken away from us. Despite the serious topic, the play also had its share of humor. Patrick did a great job in this play! I enjoyed it very much.

I was not allowed to take pictures during the play, but I did manage to get a few shots that of photos the theater had posted.

Afterwards, my friend, Rachel, and I had the privilege to meet Patrick and get a photo with him. He was a lot of fun and extremely nice. I had a great time.
